A few weeks ago I got a call from Sue, she wanted to tell me a story…

Sue told me how the kids (She looks after) had seen our story of TV (the kids know me from the movies when they come during the school holidays as one of their activities). They asked the questions about where I was going and why… Sue very happily told them about our adventure and also why we were raising money…

They visited the website and got all the details and then these fabulous kids wanted to help!

So they got together and created the “UMM” Box – and for the past week or so, everytime someone said “UMM” they had to pay the price and deposit money into the box!! Today Sue dropped in to work with the donations from the “UMM” box and we are very proud and humble to accept $41 from these awesome kids!!

Ben, Jasmine, Alexis, Coco, Caeoline, Riley, Finn, Kairi, Jasmine, Patty, Callum, Kaden, Miranda, Alex & Jessica THANK YOU. Your wonderful idea and kind work has made a great contribution to our cause. With young people like you in the world – you make it a better place.

So some of you have now seen the movie that has inspired our walk. Thank you all for comming to our movie afternoon. BIG thanks to Regent Cinemas for the generous donation of cinema, staff, movie, catering!!

The afternoon was wonderful, and a great time for us to say hello and thanks for supporting us in person – we hope you enjoyed a glass of vino from Rutherglen Estates (Thanks Phil)

All who attended have helped us raise over $3,000 this afternoon!! Plus the raffle on the day (Congratulations to those who won)You have pushed us over the $20,000 mark!

I hope you all loved the movie, and for those who will be following us on our blog as we trek, you will have some idea of what we are doing 🙂

Don’t worry – if they so don’t walk that way… we won’t! AND I won’t take my pack off on the edge of a bridge.

Well it is not long now… The days until we leave are in single digits!! WOW

So our friend of Chicks Walk for a Cause Kate Morey organised a dinner for Ally and myself to invite friends and family to say farewell and good luck..

Indian Tandoori generously hosted our night AND also donated the banquet money back to our Charity!!
